Isue Shin is a filmmaker creating work relating to identity and memory. She is currently based in Los Angeles.
Isue received a BA in Modern Culture and Media from Brown University in 2017. She is an alumnus of the Telluride Film Festival Student Symposium and Visual Communications' Armed With a Camera Fellowship. Her work has been shown at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, Oak Cliff Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and the National Film Festival of Talented Youth.
She has worked as a director's assistant to Pamela Tom in the PBS documentary Finding Home: A Foster Youth Story which aired in November 2018. She freelances as an AC and translator, most recently working as an interpreter for Parasite's oscar campaign.
